Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is expecting her second child with husband Ranveer Singh while shooting for two films, King and Raaka. Due to her busy schedule, she won't be attending the Met Gala in New York this year.
A source close to Deepika explained that her priority remains films, especially with the release of King at the end of this year and Raaka scheduled for next year.
Deepika has attended the Met Gala three times in the past, and this year's theme is 'Fashion is Art.' Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is also skipping the event due to her filming commitments in Antarctica.
The Met Gala, set for May 4, will feature co-chairs Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams, with Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos serving as lead sponsors.
