In a recent interview, Kajol expressed her reservations about a potential sequel to the iconic film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ). The 1995 romantic drama, starring Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan, has become a cultural phenomenon in India. When asked about the possibility of a sequel, Kajol jokingly said that no one would be interested in seeing Raj and Simran's story continue, adding that she couldn't imagine a scenario where the couple would fight over diapers. She emphasized that the film's magic lies in its ending, leaving the audience to imagine what happens next. Kajol also touched upon the idea of a sequel to her hit film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, stating that recreating the film's eternal love story would be challenging in today's times. DDLJ, directed by Aditya Chopra, follows the love story of two non-resident Indians, Raj and Simran, across Europe and India. The film's iconic train sequence, set in King's Cross Station, has become a memorable moment in Bollywood history. The film was a massive commercial success and has since become a cultural touchstone. Kajol will next be seen in the horror film Maa, produced by Devgn Films. The film follows the story of a mother's determination to protect her daughter from demonic curses in a haunted village. Maa is scheduled to release in theaters on June 27.
