Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film Love and War has come under scrutiny following the death of crew member Chandradhari Singh Yadav during the film's shoot in Mumbai.
The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has written to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, seeking the registration of an FIR against Bhansali, ₹1 crore in compensation for the deceased's family, and a high-level investigation into the matter.
AICWA president Suresh Shyamlal Gupta wrote the letter to the Chief Minister, stating that 'safety norms were not followed' on the set, resulting in the unfortunate death of a worker.
The deceased is survived by his wife and two minor daughters, and the AICWA president has urged the Chief Minister to take strict action against Bhansali and those responsible for the incident.
This is not the first time that accidents have been reported on Bhansali's film sets, with several serious incidents being reported in the past, including the deaths of workers during the production of Devdas and Padmaavat.
