Mumbai, On the fourth death anniversary of late Irrfan Khan, filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia expressed his determination to complete the biopic on 'Mughal-E-Azam' director K Asif, a project they had been working on for a long time. Dhulia shared that Irrfan's spirit is encouraging him to fulfill their shared dream from beyond.

The biographical drama would have been a tribute to K Asif, who directed the iconic film 'Mughal-E-Azam'. Dhulia and Irrfan had discussed the project extensively, and the filmmaker feels that Irrfan is urging him to move forward with the project.

Tigmanshu Dhulia has a long history with Irrfan Khan, having directed him in several films, including 'Haasil', 'Charas', 'Paan Singh Tomar', and 'Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns'. The duo's collaboration redefined realistic storytelling in Hindi cinema.

Recalling their early days at the National School of Drama, Dhulia shared that Irrfan was an introvert who didn't have many friends. However, he grew and developed into a talented actor, and Dhulia believes that Irrfan would have continued to grow if he were still alive.

The filmmaker also shared stories about their uncompleted projects, including 'Ghulami' and 'The Killing of a Porn Filmmaker', which were halted due to budget issues. Despite these setbacks, Dhulia remains committed to making the K Asif biopic, driven by Irrfan's spirit and their shared dream.
