A 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck Neiafu in Tonga on Tuesday, according to the USGS, with no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The quake struck 153 kilometers west of Neiafu at a depth of 237.5 km, with the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issuing no tsunami alert due to the earthquake's depth.

This comes a day after Tonga's Hihifo was hit by a 6.2 magnitude earthquake, and Nepal reported a 4.1 magnitude quake in its Sudurpaschim province.

Nepal, which experiences multiple earthquakes annually, lies in one of the world's most active tectonic zones, making it highly vulnerable to earthquakes.
