Fort Worth Police Officer Injured in Active Shooter Situation on Juliet Lane

Update (5:12pm ET): The injured Fort Worth Police official, part of the Civilian Response Unit, is in a stable condition, said Chief Eddie Garcia. The incident started with a burglary call around 11:45pm local time, where the suspect fired at officials from across the street.

The officials, not armed, were unable to shoot back. The suspect has barricaded themselves inside a residence on Juliet Avenue, prompting a search and an alert for residents to stay indoors.

Scanner reports initially suggested an active shooter situation, though police details have not been released. The injured officer is expected to be okay, thanks to prayers, said Garcia.
