Samantha Pelrine, a 31-year-old Plymouth, Massachusetts cop, and her husband, Daniel Forand, are accused of sexually and physically abusing a child they were caring for.
The couple, who took the child in at 12, began assaulting the victim when they were 12, as per reports citing court documents.
The sexual abuse reportedly began soon after the minor moved in with the Plymouth couple, and continued until 2025, while physical abuse continued until 2026, according to the accuser.
Pelrine, who joined Plymouth Police in April 2022, has been placed on leave and is due in court on March 27.
Pelrine and Forand, 37, are no longer allowed to contact the accuser and have been instructed to stay at least 100 yards away, as per reports.
