US President Donald Trump has reportedly offered a 15-point ceasefire plan to Iran, almost a month after the conflict began between Washington, backed by Israel, and Tehran.

The proposal was submitted to Tehran through intermediaries in Pakistan, which has offered to host talks between the two countries.

The conditions set by Trump in the proposal include a one-month ceasefire, ending Iran's nuclear weapons capability, stopping uranium enrichment, and ensuring the Strait of Hormuz remains open.

In exchange for accepting the ceasefire proposal, the US has reportedly offered to lift sanctions on Iran, support its civilian nuclear programme, and remove the "snapback" sanctions mechanism.

However, Iran has rejected the proposal, with its military spokesperson saying Trump was negotiating with himself and that the fighting would continue until complete victory.
