US President Donald Trump rejected Iran's response to a US peace proposal, calling it 'totally unacceptable.'

The proposal, delivered through mediator Pakistan, called for an end to the war on all fronts, including in Lebanon, and the lifting of sanctions imposed on Tehran.

Iran's response also proposed diluting part of its highly enriched uranium stockpile and transferring the remaining material to a third country.

Trump, who made the announcement on Truth Social, accused Iran of 'playing games' with the US and the world for decades.

He also criticized former US President Barack Obama, claiming he gave Iran a 'major and very powerful new lease on life.'
