British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has made a plea against the rise of antisemitism in the UK, following a terrorist attack on two Jewish men in north-west London.
During a live televised address from 10 Downing Street, Starmer stated that people are scared to show their Jewish identity, attend synagogue, or practice their religion due to the growing hatred.
He emphasized that liberal British values are not a gift, but something that must be earned through action, and that antisemitism is an old hatred that must be addressed.
Starmer announced new measures to strengthen the visible police presence, shut down charities promoting antisemitic extremism, and prevent hate preachers from entering the country.
He also reiterated his commitment to fast-tracking new powers against malign state actors who pose a threat to British Jews.
