White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson hit back at Ariana Grande after she called out the Trump administration's use of her song in a social media post promoting US immigration arrests.
The video, shared on TikTok, showed US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents apprehending and handcuffing people, with Grande's song Bye as its background music.
Grande reacted in the comments section, stating that the video was 'barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense' and asked not to use her music in relation to it.
The White House responded, saying that the 'criminal illegal aliens who have injured and murdered innocent American citizens' were the ones who were 'barbaric, inhumane, and heinous.'
This is not the first time the Trump administration has faced backlash for its immigration policies, with widespread protests breaking out in cities across the US.
