The Aadhaar App has seen a significant surge in adoption across India, with over 31 million downloads since its launch less than five months ago, according to the Ministry of Electronics & IT.
The growing popularity of the App reflects increasing trust in its ability to provide services at users' fingertips, designed to improve ease of living.
Notably, almost 4 million people have updated their mobile numbers using the new Aadhaar App, while around 850,000 have utilized the App for updating their address.
The App offers several user-friendly features, including biometric lock/unlock, face verification, authentication history, and a QR-based editable contact card for easy sharing.
Additionally, it allows users to download e-Aadhaar and facilitates online appointment booking for visiting Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASKs).
The Aadhaar App supports a wide range of real-life use cases, including hotel check-ins, hospital admissions, and identity verification for gig workers and service partners.
