Delhi High Court judge Swarana Kanta Sharma has decided to appoint three senior advocates as amicus curiae to represent former CM Arvind Kejriwal, former deputy CM Manish Sisodia, and AAP leader Durgesh Pathak in the CBI's appeal against their discharge in the excise policy case.

The trio had chosen not to appear in the court proceedings, prompting the judge to appoint an amicus to assist the court in the case.

The amicus will represent Kejriwal (number 18), Sisodia (number 8), and Pathak (number 19) in the case, which was discharged by a trial court on February 27.

The CBI had challenged the order, and the matter is now set to be heard on Friday.
