Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has reiterated that India was prepared for a long war against Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, which was voluntarily halted by the Indian forces on their own terms.

Singh made these remarks at the ANI National Security Summit 2.0, where he also called for uprooting the ideological and political roots of terrorism.

He stated that India precisely targeted those who had attacked them during Operation Sindoor and that the operation was not stopped due to diminished capabilities, but rather voluntarily, on India's own terms.

Singh added that the Indian armed forces have expanded their capabilities since then and are robust in times of sudden need.

He also hailed Operation Sindoor as a turning point that showed the world India does not rely solely on diplomatic statements in response to terrorist attacks.

Singh slammed Pakistan for supporting terrorism, saying that even though both countries gained independence together, India is known worldwide for its Information Technology, while Pakistan is considered the epicentre of International Terrorism.
