TTAADC Chairman Pradyot Kishore Manikya Discusses Progress on 2nd round Tiprasa Accord in Delhi

TTAADC Chairman Pradyot Kishore Manikya attended a 2nd Round Tiprasa Accord meeting in Delhi and shared updates with the media on Tuesday regarding the second round of discussions on the Tiprasa Accord. Chairman expressed satisfaction with the meeting, stating that they discussed issues they had been demanding and received a polite and positive response.

In the first meeting, B.K. Hrangkhawl, A.K. Mishra, the Director of IB, and the Secretary to the CM were also present. During the second meeting, a presentation was given to A.K. Mishra regarding the law of the Autonomous District Council (ADC). Mishra has requested the state government to make a presentation on the issues they think are suitable for the TTAADC through the Tribal Welfare Department.

Chairman also announced that the next meeting will be held soon, likely by the end of January or the first week of February. He expressed hope that the 125th Amendment Bill will also gain clarity by then. Additionally, he discussed the proposed changes to the names of certain places, emphasizing that the state government should inform and discuss these changes with citizens before implementing them to avoid hurting people's sentiments.Chairman  Pradyot has already spoken to Sushanta Choudhary, CM Manik Saha, and Ratan Lal Nath about this matter.

He also said that during the meeting, he discussed various aspects of the Accord, including Article 2 and 3, seat reservation, land rights, languages, central university, and upgradation of TTAADC. In conclusion, he stressed the importance of focusing on community development rather than party interests.
