FIFA Suspends Pakistan Football Federation Amid Governance Issues

The International Football Federation (FIFA) has suspended the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) due to its failure to amend its constitution, which is necessary for the smooth and fair governance of football in the country. This marks the third suspension for PFF since 2017.

According to FIFA, Pakistan will remain suspended until the PFF Congress makes the necessary amendments. The suspension is a significant setback for Pakistan's football community, which has been managed by a FIFA-appointed Normalization Committee since June 2019.

The Normalization Committee was tasked with organizing elections and addressing parallel factions within the football setup. However, despite several changes in leadership and membership over the past five years, the core issues in Pakistan's football structure remain unresolved.
