Stephon Castle of the San Antonio Spurs revealed how the New York Knicks made it tough on him and his teammates before their win. The Knicks crowded the pick and rolls, making them stagnant on the ball, and took away passing lanes, forcing them to play one-on-one.
The Knicks won their first NBA title in over 50 years with a 94-90 victory over the Spurs in the fifth game of the best-of-seven series. Fans celebrated in the streets of New York City, with watch parties hosted outside Madison Square Garden and other locations.
The Knicks initially trailed by 16 points but charged back behind Jalen Brunson's heroics. Brunson said after the game, 'I'm in awe. I don't know what I'm feeling. Whenever someone counted us out, we found a way to come back and do something about it.'
