A 17-year-old boy who was left in a coma after a violent fight near Madison Square Garden is showing signs of improvement, according to his mother.
The teenager was seriously hurt after an argument following the New York Knicks’ NBA Finals Game 4 win over the San Antonio Spurs.
Police said he was punched and kicked during the incident, suffering a seizure and falling into a coma.
While he remains in critical condition, his family says he is now stable and responding to treatment.
The New York Police Department is still investigating the attack and searching for the person believed to have assaulted him.
Doctors are continuing treatment, and his family is waiting for the next stage of his recovery as he slowly improves in the hospital.
