Tripura SCERT Celebrates 'Saharsh Utsav' with Chief Minister's Inauguration

On Wednesday, the Tripura State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) organized Saharsh Utsav at the Tripura Rabindra Centenary Bhavan, creating a beautiful atmosphere that brought together over 1400 teachers, students, and dignitaries from across the state of Tripura.

The event was inaugurated by Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who emphasized the significance of emotional intelligence in the lives of children alongside their academic success. The Saharsh curriculum, designed for classes 1 to 8 in Tripura state, has already gained popularity among students and is dedicated to creating patriotic, fearless, humane, compassionate, conscious, intellectually capable, and socially responsible citizens for the future in a joyful environment.

SCERT officials and other dignitaries were also present at the event, which aimed to celebrate the Saharsh curriculum and its implementation in Tripura state. The event was a testament to the state government's commitment to education and its efforts to create a well-rounded and emotionally intelligent generation.

In his address, Dr. Saha highlighted the importance of emotional intelligence in today's world, stating that it is crucial for children to develop skills such as self-awareness, self-regulation, and motivation to succeed in their personal and professional lives. He emphasized that emotional intelligence is not a replacement for academic success but rather a complement to it, enabling students to navigate challenges and make informed decisions.

The Saharsh curriculum is a significant step towards implementing the National Education Policy, which aims to create a more inclusive, equitable, and effective education system. The curriculum is designed to promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration among students, making them better equipped to face the challenges of the 21st century.
