A prominent Iranian cleric has issued a fatwa against US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, condemning their threats against Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as a "war against God." According to Ayatollah Shirazi, such actions are religiously prohibited and require a strong defense. Shirazi's warning comes as a reminder of the gravity of the situation, following a recent 12-day conflict between Iran and Israel. The conflict, which ended with a ceasefire, saw an Israeli strike on Evin Prison in Tehran, killing 71 people, including administrative staff, young men doing their military service, inmates, and family members. The attack, which occurred on June 23, also caused heavy material damage, with the Iranian judiciary spokesperson describing it as a "full-scale crime." Shirazi's fatwa serves as a warning to those who threaten the life of the supreme leader, emphasizing the importance of defending those who are pillars of the Islamic system.
