Tipra Motha Party Protests Against Bangladesh's Border Embankment, Demands Yunus' Resignation

On Monday, the Tipra Motha Party, a regional party in Tripura, took out a massive procession against the Bangladesh government's construction of an embankment on the border, which they claim is a violation of the International Boundary Delimitation Act. The procession, which drew thousands of youth, was held in the Bankar Bazar area in the Bilonia Ballamukha area of Tripura.
The protesters demanded the resignation Mr Yunus government and threatened to demolish the structure if necessary. A youth leader from Matha asked why no action was taken by the government during the construction, and if the government cannot do it now, they should give them the responsibility and they will demolish the dam within an hour.
The Tipra Motha Party, along with the Youth Tipra Federation, has been vocal about the issue of border encroachment and illegal migration from Bangladesh. Thousands of warriors from the Youth Tipra Federation assembled today at Belonia on the Indo-Bangladesh border to protest against the illegal construction of the embankment, the relentless influx of illegal migrants that threatens the identity and security of Northeast India, the systematic persecution of minorities in Bangladesh, and the increasingly hostile stance of the Bangladesh Government towards the Northeast.
In a stern warning, the Youth Tipra Federation President, Suraj Debbarma, said, "Not a single inch will be given to Bangladesh. Mr Yunus, don't forget 1971. Respect us or history will repeat itself. Listen to the roar of Tiprasa and Youth Tipra Federation."
The protests come as tensions between India and Bangladesh have been escalating over issues such as border encroachment, illegal migration, and trade disputes. The Tipra Motha Party's stance is seen as a strong rebuke to the Bangladesh government's actions and a demand for respect for India's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
