India Launches 'Operation Sindoor' – Precision Strikes on Terror Camps

In a decisive response to the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack, the Indian Armed Forces today executed ‘Operation Sindoor’, targeting terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). The operation marks a calibrated and focused military action, aimed at neutralizing terror infrastructure actively used to plan attacks on Indian soil.

According to official sources, nine terrorist sites were struck during the operation. Importantly, no Pakistani military installations were targeted, underlining India’s intent to avoid escalation while sending a strong message to terror outfits and their sponsors.

The strikes come in the aftermath of the barbaric attack in Pahalgam, where 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national were brutally killed. The government had vowed swift and decisive action, and Operation Sindoor reflects that resolve.

“This was a measured and non-escalatory response. The operation was designed with surgical precision to ensure minimal collateral damage while delivering a strong blow to terror infrastructure,” said a senior defence official, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Indian authorities have emphasized that the action underscores the country’s commitment to holding those accountable who orchestrate and support cross-border terrorism.
