Union Minister Piyush Goyal has commenced a six-day official visit to Switzerland and Sweden, aimed at strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties between India and these two European nations. The visit underscores India's commitment to deepening strategic partnerships and advancing robust trade and investment ties. During his visit, Minister Goyal will engage with global CEOs, industry leaders, and business associations to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral trade and investment. Key sectoral meetings will be held with prominent Swiss industry leaders in areas such as pharma, life sciences, and precision engineering. In Sweden, the Minister will co-chair the 21st Session of the Indo-Swedish Joint Commission for Economic, Industrial and Scientific Cooperation and hold bilateral meetings with senior government officials and business leaders. The visit is expected to translate high-level commitments into sustainable economic partnerships that foster innovation, resilience, and shared growth.
