The founder of a Minnesota nonprofit, Aimee Bock, has been handed a 42-year prison sentence for masterminding a massive pandemic-era fraud scheme. Bock, 45, led Feeding Our Future, which falsely claimed to have served 91 million meals to children and pocketed $250 million in federal funds.

Prosecutors described the nonprofit as operating like a 'cash pipeline' open to anyone willing to submit fraudulent claims and pay kickbacks. Bock and her co-conspirators were convicted of conspiracy, fraud, and bribery, with 79 people charged and over 60 convictions so far.

Bock's lawyer argued for a three-year sentence, but the court deemed her actions 'profound, immeasurable, and will have lasting consequences' for Minnesota and the nation.

When questioned, Bock filed a lawsuit against the state agency, allowing the money to flow until federal raids shut it down in January 2022.

Prosecutors said Bock and her co-defendant used the funds to fund their lavish lifestyles, running a vast fraud network of fake distribution sites, fictitious lists of children, and illegal kickbacks.
