Patrick Muldoon, known for his roles on Days of Our Lives and Starship Troopers, has passed away at the age of 57. Muldoon suffered a heart attack on Sunday morning, according to Deadline.

With a career spanning several decades in television and film, Muldoon is most recognized for portraying Austin Reed on Days of Our Lives from 1992 to 1995 and again from 2011 to 2012.

He was also a part of the original Melrose Place and appeared in films such as Super Troopers and Saving Christmas. Muldoon was set to appear in the film Dirty Hands later this year.

Those who knew him well have described him as 'endlessly generous' and 'full of life', with a 'rare quality of making others feel safe and seen'.

Muldoon is survived by his partner Miriam Rothbart, parents Deanna and Patrick Muldoon Sr, sister and brother-in-law Shana and Ahmet Zappa, along with their children, niece Halo and nephew Arrow Zappa.
