Chaos erupted at the Washington Hilton hotel ballroom when a gunman opened fire at the White House Correspondents' dinner, attended by US President Donald Trump and his administration.

A video of Michael Glantz, a prominent agent at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), went viral after he remained seated and calmly finished his salad, even as attendees panicked and rushed towards exits.

Glantz, known as a 'super agent' for representing top TV stars, was not the only one unfazed during the incident. Former Goldman Sachs chief executive Lloyd Blankfein reportedly asked his seatmate if they would finish a salad as the emergency unfolded.

The shooting suspect, 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen, was taken into custody and charges will be filed shortly.
