Cole Tomas Allen, the suspect in the White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting, is believed to have been targeting President Donald Trump and members of his administration, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche confirmed.

Allen, a 31-year-old from Torrance, traveled by train from California to Chicago and then on to Washington, officials believe.

President Trump released Allen's photos on social media, which matched a LinkedIn profile showing a man with the same name and description.

The profile described Allen as a mechanical engineer and computer scientist by degree, independent game developer by experience, and teacher by birth.

Allen's family is in focus, with his sister Arviana facing serious accusations on social media.

Arviana, a Northwestern Medill grad with degrees in Journalism and Statistics, works in DC and has done work for progressive-leaning outlets.

President Trump raised questions about the shooting, saying it 'would never have happened with the Militarily Top Secret Ballroom currently under construction at the White House.'
