Actor Akshay Kumar paid tribute to actor and martial arts star Chuck Norris, who passed away at 86. Akshay shared an old picture of Chuck and wrote, 'Growing up as a martial artist, watching Chuck Norris in Way of the Dragon, Missing in Action, and many more wasn’t just entertainment…it was education.' He added, 'The discipline, strength, and that effortless command he brought on screen stayed with me. Grateful for the inspiration that shaped a part of me.'

Chuck Norris was a martial arts grandmaster and action star known for his iconic roles in Walker, Texas Ranger and other TV shows and movies. He died in a 'sudden passing' surrounded by his family. Before his acting career, Norris was successful in competitive martial arts and had a notable friendship with Bruce Lee, which led to an iconic faceoff in the 1972 movie Return of the Dragon.

Chuck Norris acted in over 20 movies, including Missing in Action, The Delta Force, and Sidekicks. He also made a surprise comedic appearance in the 2004 movie Dodgeball. He is survived by five children, including stunt performers Mike and Eric, twins Dakota and Danilee, and Dina.
