Music director Anu Malik has come out in support of Varun Dhawan's Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai remake of the classic song Chunnari Chunnari. Malik praised Varun's dance moves and said he was 'jumping with joy' when he saw the song. The remake has been at the centre of controversy, with some critics expressing disappointment over the recreated version. The original song was a hit in 1999, featuring Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen. The new version has been arranged by Akshay Raheja and Abhishek Singh, and features vocals by IP Singh, Jonita Gandhi, Asees Kaur, Sudhir Yaduvanshi and Anuradha Sriram.
The film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is directed by David Dhawan and also stars Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles. The film is set to release in theatres on June 4.
