Bazm-e-Virasat 2025: A Cultural Extravaganza in Prayagraj with Bollywood Stars, Music, and More

Prayagraj is all set to witness a vibrant celebration of art, culture, and literature at the Bazm-e-Virasat, a three-day festival commencing on Friday. Organized by Bishop Johnson School, this year's edition promises to be an even grander affair, featuring engaging sessions on films, culture, literature, and sports. The event will also showcase a diverse range of musical performances that pay tribute to the city's rich cultural heritage. A highlight of the festival will be a discussion session with renowned filmmakers Leena Yadav, Anurag Basu, Anubhav Sinha, and Tigmanshu Dhulia, where they will share their insights on the film industry. Attendees will also get a chance to interact with actor Jaideep Ahlawat in a one-on-one session, and participate in an 'Actors Table' discussion with Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, Vineet Kumar, and Mukesh Chhabra. The festival will also feature a unique 'Stars of our City' session, where local artists Aditya Srivastava, Faisal Malik, Deepraj Rana, Shashwat Singh, and Nidhi Singh will be celebrated for their contributions to the city's cultural landscape. Tigmanshu Dhulia, the organiser, said, "Our endeavour is to revive the city's cultural scene and remember the legends it has produced." The festival will include a series of cultural performances, including a dastangoi by Himanshu Bajpai, Vedant Bhardwaj, and Ajay Tipanya, a Nirgun recital by Prahlad Tipanya and group, and a musical concert by Indian Ocean. The festival will also feature a mushaira and kavi sammelan, with participation from renowned poets Shakeel Azmi, Sampat Saral, and Rajesh Reddy. On the sports front, a 'Cricket Talk' session will be held with Mohd Kaif, Praveen Kumar, Ashish Winston Zaidi, and Ayaz Memon. Several sessions are dedicated to Prayagraj, including 'Saints of Allahabad' with Badri Narayan, Siraj Ajmali, and NR Farooqui, and 'Story of our City' with Gopal Chaturvedi, Dhananjay Chopra, and Neelum Saran Gour. The festival will also feature a discussion on Suryakant Tripathi 'Nirala' with Prof. Awadesh Pradhan, Tarun Kumar, and Pranay Krishna, and 'Allahabad in Literature' with Mamta Kalia, Vibhuti Narain Rai, Uday Prakash, Anita Gopesh, Neelam Saran Gour, and Yash Malviya.
