Actor Vipin Sharma, known for his roles in 'The Family Man 3' and 'Gangs of Wasseypur,' recently starred as Prime Minister Sudhakar Sriniwas Joshi in the SonyLIV series 'Maharani 4.' In an exclusive interview with PTI, Sharma revealed that the most challenging aspect of his role was portraying authority as a politician, a departure from his own relaxed and casual nature. Sharma reunited with his 'Gangs of Wasseypur' co-star Huma Qureshi, who played the lead role of Rani Bharti, a housewife turned chief minister. The actor credited Qureshi for making his experience on set enjoyable, saying, 'We've known each other for a long time, and I'm happy we got to work together.' Sharma's path to becoming an actor was not straightforward. He took a 12-year break from the profession, but was encouraged by fellow actor Irrfan Khan to return. Sharma made his comeback with the 2007 film 'Taare Zameen Par' and has since appeared in numerous films, including 'Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana' and 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2.' Now, Sharma is set to take on a new challenge - directing a film from a script he has written. With a career spanning over three decades, Sharma has come a long way from his early days as an alumnus of the National School of Drama and his debut in Doordarshan's 'Bharat Ek Khoj' in 1989.
