The success of Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar has marked a significant milestone for television actors, paving the way for more opportunities and breaking long-standing barriers. The film features a star-studded cast, including Saumya Tandon, Gaurav Gera, and Rakesh Bedi, all of whom are well-known TV actors. Aasif Sheikh, a veteran actor with over four decades of experience in theatre, television, and film, believes that Dhurandhar's success has opened doors for TV actors. 'This is a big breakthrough for us,' he said in an interview. 'We are much more efficient, committed, serious, and sincere. We are taught to finish our work and never compromise on it.' The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, follows the story of an Indian spy named Hamza who infiltrates Pakistan deeply to join Rehman Dakait's gang. The second part of the film is set to release in theatres on March 19, 2026. With Dhurandhar's success, TV actors are now being recognized for their talent and capabilities, proving that they can excel in the film industry as well. Aasif Sheikh's own career is a testament to this. He made his TV debut in the mid-1980s and has since appeared in numerous serials and films, including the sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, where he was recognized by the World Book of Records for portraying over 300 characters in a single running show. His experience and dedication to his craft have earned him a reputation as a talented and efficient actor, and Dhurandhar's success is a reflection of this.
