Bollywood actor Imran Khan made a name for himself with his debut film Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na in 2008. In a recent podcast conversation, Imran shared his candid thoughts on money, reflecting on his upbringing, and the financial highs that followed his early stardom. Imran described his relationship with money as 'strange', citing the misconception that he grew up wealthy. However, he clarified that his uncle Aamir Khan, a renowned actor, was his mother's cousin, and his wealth did not directly benefit him. Imran's mother and stepfather, a working actor, struggled financially during his childhood, making them 'asset-rich but cash-poor'. Imran's life took a dramatic turn after the success of his debut film. He went from earning nothing to receiving multiple crores at the age of 25. He recalled being paid ₹7-10 crore for his second film and wondered if his acting skills had truly improved that much. By the time he was 27 or 28, Imran had amassed more money than he ever imagined, creating a sense of disconnect with his friends who earned significantly less. Imran's biggest pay cheque was a staggering ₹12 crore. He made his Bollywood debut with Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, produced by his uncle Aamir Khan. The actor's subsequent films, including Luck, I Hate Luv Storys, and Delhi Belly, did not achieve massive success. However, he is set to return to the big screen with the comedy-drama Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, backed by Aamir Khan Productions and slated for release on January 16, 2026.
