Popular actress Genelia D'Souza has congratulated Tamil superstar Vijay on his historic victory in the Tamil Nadu elections, terming it a 'win for the people of Tamil Nadu'.
Vijay's party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), emerged as the single-largest party with 108 seats, breaking the decades-long dominance of the Dravidian heavyweights – Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) – over Tamil Nadu politics.
Genelia, who has previously worked with Vijay in Sachein and Velayudham, expressed her admiration for the actor-turned-politician's dedication and said that he is more than capable of living up to the expectations of the people of Tamil Nadu.
