Actor-politician Hema Malini will receive a tribute to her late husband, Dharmendra, at the first International Film Festival Delhi (IFFD) 2026. Speaking to ANI, Hema Malini expressed her gratitude to Rekha Gupta ji for organizing the festival, which will run from March 25-31. The event will feature a series of screenings, discussions, and industry events across various venues in New Delhi.
Hema Malini will be present at the festival to receive the tribute, which will honor Dharmendra's contributions to the film industry. The festival will kick off on Wednesday evening at Bharat Mandapam, with a grand opening ceremony hosted by Arjun Kapoor and Nimrat Kaur.
Dharmendra's death was met with widespread mourning in the film industry, with many celebrities paying their respects to the veteran actor. His final film, Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, released in theatres on January 1 and received critical acclaim.
