Ikkis, the war drama directed by Sriram Raghavan, has been struggling at the Indian box office. The film, starring Agastya Nanda as Arun Khetarpal, a 21-year-old martyr from the 1971 Indo-Pak war, has failed to gain momentum. According to Sacnilk.com, the film earned ₹1 crore on Thursday, bringing its total domestic collection to ₹25.60 crore. In its first eight days, Ikkis has collected ₹7 crore on day 1, ₹3.5 crore on day 2, ₹4.65 crore on day 3, ₹5 crore on day 4, ₹1.35 crore on day 5, ₹1.6 crore on day 6, and ₹1.15 crore on day 7. On day 8, it collected ₹1.35 crore nett in India, with an overall 8.70% Hindi occupancy. The film's story revolves around Arun's sacrifice and the impact it has on his family. As noted in the Hindustan Times review, 'Ikkis works best when it stops trying to be a war film and becomes a painful reminder of the sacrifices made by our heroes.' The film features a talented cast, including late actor Dharmendra, Simar Bhatia, Vivaan Shah, Sikandar Kher, and Jaideep Ahlawat. Produced by Maddock Films, Ikkis is written by Sriram Raghavan alongside Arijit Biswas and Pooja Ladha Surti. The film is a tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest military honour, at the age of 21.
