Iranian actor Elnaaz Norouzi has been a vocal critic of the current regime in her home country. In a recent interview, she clarified her stance on Iran and why she supported the US and Israel-led assassination of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Norouzi, who has been living in exile for over a decade, said she cannot return to Iran until the current government is in power. She fears for her life if she sets foot in the country, citing the regime's brutal suppression of protests and the killing of Mahsa Amini in 2022.

Norouzi, who made her acting debut in a Pakistani film in 2017, has since appeared in several Indian and Hollywood films, including Sacred Games, Abhay, and Kandahar. She currently co-hosts Wheel of Fortune alongside Akshay Kumar.
