Jisoo stars as Mi Rae, a webtoon producer who finds love in a virtual dating simulation app. Set against the competitive world of webtoon publishing, Mi Rae's life changes when she meets a series of handsome suitors, including Seo In Guk's rival producer Kyeong Nam.
As Mi Rae navigates her virtual relationships, she begins to understand the appeal of romantic clichés and her webtoon's ratings soar. However, her obsession with the app takes a toll on her real life, and she must confront the consequences of her actions.
Directed by Kim Jung Sik, Boyfriend on Demand is a meta romantic comedy that taps into the fantasy logic of the webtoon universe. Jisoo and Seo In Guk deliver charming performances, but the show's narrative eventually becomes repetitive and underwhelming.
