Kalyani Priyadarshan, a Malayalam film actress, is reportedly set to make her Bollywood debut in the Ranveer Singh-starrer Pralay. Despite unconfirmed reports, the actress says she's drawn to good scripts, regardless of language. 'I'm a greedy actor when it comes to scripts,' she says, 'If there's a good script, I want it, whether it's in Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, or Malayalam.' The actress adds that her focus is on storytelling, not language barriers. 'Emotion is universal,' she says, 'That's why pan-Indian films are becoming more popular.' Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, her recent Malayalam film, was a female superhero film and a huge success. The actress says she's always been open to Hindi films, but it's about the script. While Lokah's success may have increased Hindi offers, Kalyani says she can't take on every good script. 'I like giving my time wholeheartedly to a film,' she explains. The Lokah superhero universe is still in development, with writer Dominic working on the script. 'We always knew how the series would end,' Kalyani says, 'But we're still waiting for the script to come together.'
