Writer-director Karan Anshuman is set to return to the streaming space with his new show, Glory, a genre-bending series that combines sports and crime. The show follows two former boxers investigating a gruesome crime in Haryana, a region known for its intense sports culture.

Ahead of the show's trailer launch, Anshuman spoke with Hindustan Times about the world he built for Glory, its unique blend of genres, and his vision for depicting boxing in Indian entertainment.

Anshuman revealed that he wanted to create a show that would take the sports genre to a new level, focusing on the authenticity of boxing rather than just the drama. To achieve this, he involved a team of Indian boxers in the training and filming process, ensuring that the fights were as realistic as possible.

Glory stars Pulkit Samrat, Divyenndu, and Suvinder Vicky, and premieres on Netflix on May 1.
