A recent hearing in the Delhi High Court over the estate of late industrialist Sunjay Kapur has shed light on claims regarding his daughter Samaira's university fees. Priya Kapur, Sunjay's widow, has denied allegations that the fees were unpaid. Her lawyer, Sheyl Trehan, presented receipts showing that ₹95 lakh per semester has already been paid. The next instalment of fees is due in December, according to Priya's legal team. This revelation comes after Karisma Kapoor's lawyer, Mahesh Jethmalani, claimed last week that Samaira's university fees for two months had not been paid. The 22-year-old student is studying in the US, with Sunjay's estate covering her education expenses. The court has reprimanded both parties for melodrama, with Justice Singh stating that the issue should not be revisited in court. The ongoing case involves Samaira and her brother Kiaan suing Priya for allegedly forging Sunjay's will and excluding them from it. Priya's lawyers have challenged the claim, citing a precedent where Sunjay's father-in-law left all his assets to his wife in his will.
