Malayalam Filmmaker Chidambaram Booked for 2022 Sexual Harassment Allegations

A case has been registered against Malayalam filmmaker Chidambaram S Poduval for allegedly sexually harassing a young woman in 2022.
The incident reportedly took place when the director trespassed into the complainant's apartment and sexually misbehaved with her.
The case has been registered under Sections 74 and 75 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and a notice will be issued to Chidambaram, asking him to appear for questioning.
Before news broke, the director made his Instagram account private, which many initially believed was due to cyberbullying by actor Dileep's fans.
Chidambaram has yet to respond to these allegations, which come as a shock to his fans, given his recent success with the highest-grossing Malayalam film, Manjummel Boys.
