Actor Manoj Bajpayee has expressed hope that the issue between Ranveer Singh and the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) will be resolved soon.

Bajpayee made the comment at the trailer launch event of his upcoming film, Governor, when he was asked about the industry's handling of such situations.

FWICE banned Ranveer Singh over his abrupt exit from Farhan Akhtar's Don 3, which has raised eyebrows among fans and sparked a debate on social media.

FWICE President Ashoke Pandit explained that the body acted after Farhan filed a complaint alleging Ranveer walked out of the film days before the shoot was to begin, and that Ranveer ignored their notices.

Farhan had claimed that Ranveer's exit had caused him monetary losses amounting to ₹45 crore. Don 3 was announced by Farhan's Excel Entertainment in August 2023, with a teaser revealing Ranveer as the new Don.

Other industry professionals, including filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, have questioned the logic behind banning an actor like Ranveer, citing the impact on workers who rely on the film's production.
