Jeremy Renner, the Hollywood star known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is facing serious allegations from his Chinese filmmaking partner Yi Zhou. The 54-year-old actor allegedly sent Zhou a string of unwanted and explicit images of himself over WhatsApp, which she claims was the start of a tumultuous relationship. Zhou, who worked with Renner on a documentary and animated movie, claims that their partnership turned sour during a meeting at Renner's Nevada home. According to Zhou, Renner became enraged, downing a bottle of wine and yelling for two hours. She alleges that she was so scared for her life that she had to lock herself in a room and share her location with her team and colleagues. Zhou also claims that Renner threatened to call U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on her when she confronted him about his behavior. In a series of Instagram posts, Zhou shared screenshots of their text conversations, including one where Renner allegedly said 'Immigration will be notified of your...' before cutting off the message. This is not the first time Renner has been accused of threatening behavior. His former wife, Sonni Pacheco, accused him of threatening to kill her and himself during their marriage, which ended in divorce after just ten months. Renner has denied all allegations and has joint custody of their daughter, Ava. Zhou, who was born in Shanghai and moved to Rome and Paris for her education and career, has shared her story to raise awareness about the importance of respecting boundaries and promoting a safe working environment. The allegations against Renner have sparked a heated debate in the entertainment industry, with many calling for greater accountability and support for victims of abuse.
