MBBS student Sejal Pawar has sparked outrage after making distasteful remarks about male cadavers on a TV show. The All India Medical Students' Association has written to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, urging strict action against her comments.

The association stated that cadavers represent noble individuals who donated their bodies for medical education and deserve dignity and respect. They urged a strong precedent to prevent future incidents.

KEM hospital, where Sejal is a student, has sent her on 15 days' forced leave and ordered an inquiry. Sejal has apologized for her remarks, saying she understands why people were upset and that her comments came across in a way they shouldn't have.

Her apology comes after a similar backlash against Himanshu Jangra, who was terminated from his job for making a ₹370 biryani remark on social media.
