Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos has disputed reports of a US government investigation into the streaming giant's business practices, stating that much of what was reported was 'inaccurate'.
Sarandos clarified that the Department of Justice inquiry was a normal review process and that the company was 'in the clear'.
He also claimed that President Donald Trump remained neutral on the deal and that the Department of Justice followed its usual procedure, involving 50 regulatory bodies around the world.
The failed bid to acquire Warner Bros Discovery was met with significant opposition from the film industry and American government circles, but Sarandos stated that the company was on a 'normal regulatory path'.
