In a heartwarming exchange between Bollywood and politics, actor-producer Farhan Akhtar and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav shared a gracious exchange on X (formerly Twitter) after the latter praised the war drama 120 Bahadur. Akhilesh Yadav commended the film's powerful message and patriotic spirit, calling it a worthy tribute to the nation's heroes. Farhan Akhtar responded with gratitude, thanking Akhilesh for taking the time to watch the film and acknowledge the hard work of the entire 120 Bahadur team. Set against the backdrop of the 1962 Sino-Indian War, 120 Bahadur tells the heroic story of 120 soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment, who fought valiantly at the historic Battle of Rezang La. The film, directed by Razneesh Ghai, stars Farhan Akhtar as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, the leader of the brave soldiers, and features Raashii Khanna, Vivan Bhatena, Ankit Siwach, and Dhanveer Singh in key roles. Amitabh Bachchan lends his voice as narrator, adding a special narrative weight to the film. 120 Bahadur opened at the box office on November 21, 2025, with modest collections on its first day, earning approximately ₹2.25 crore. However, the film saw a significant rise in collections over the weekend, collecting ₹3.85 crore on Saturday and ₹4 crore on Sunday, bringing its first weekend total to around ₹10.11 crore. As of its seventh day, the film reportedly crossed the ₹14 crore mark domestically.
