Prabhas's highly anticipated horror comedy, The Raja Saab, has finally hit theaters today (January 9). Since its trailer dropped, the film has drawn comparisons with Akshay Kumar's Bhool Bhulaiyaa, citing similarities in its palace setting, ghostly presence, and psychiatrist's entry. However, the makers of The Raja Saab have responded to the speculation, setting the record straight. In an interview with Pinkvilla, producer T. G. Vishwa Prasad emphasized the differences between the two films. He noted that The Raja Saab is a full-fledged horror fantasy with a distinct backstory, designed specifically for India's biggest star, Prabhas. Actor Riddhi Kumar also addressed the comparisons, highlighting that while Bhool Bhulaiyaa was a realistic, grounded film, The Raja Saab ventures into a fantasy world with a psychological element. Nidhhi Agerwal expressed hope that The Raja Saab will create the same impact as Bhool Bhulaiyaa. For those unfamiliar, Bhool Bhulaiyaa is a psychological horror comedy directed by Priyadarshan, based on the Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu. Although it received mixed reviews, it became a box office success and eventually gained cult status. The Raja Saab, written and directed by Maruthi, stars Prabhas alongside Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and Zarina Wahab. As a fantasy horror comedy, it has hit theaters today, offering a unique cinematic experience for audiences.
