Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar has taken the box office by storm since its release two weeks ago. The spy action thriller has garnered immense attention online, with fans and celebrities alike praising the film. Ranveer Singh, who plays an undercover agent in Pakistan, stars alongside a talented ensemble cast, including Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt. Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently took to social media to review Dhurandhar, calling it a 'manly' film that 'moves with dominance and fierce intent.' He praised the film's music, performances, screenplay, and direction, saying that Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna delivered outstanding performances that 'erased into air and disappeared into characters effortlessly.' In response to Vanga's appreciation post, director Aditya Dhar expressed his gratitude, saying that his words meant a great deal coming from someone who 'stands by their cinema and faith in unapologetic, masculine storytelling.' Dhar revealed that Dhurandhar was shaped with sincerity, restraint, and conviction, and that Vanga's validation gave the film's journey a quiet validation. Interestingly, the first look of Dhurandhar sparked comparisons with Ranbir Kapoor's 2023 film Animal. However, audiences soon realized that the two films are distinct in their premise and characters. The sequel to Dhurandhar, titled Dhurandhar 2, is set to release in theatres on March 19 next year. Meanwhile, the sequel to Animal, titled Animal Park, is expected to begin production in 2027.
