Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has found a new passion in life - watching Telugu films. The cricket legend was in Hyderabad recently for the launch of the Tollywood Pro League (TPL), where he opened up about his love for South Indian cinema. Sehwag, who retired from all forms of cricket in 2015, revealed that he has been watching films of Telugu superstars Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, and Prabhas. The cricketer joked that after his retirement, he had 'nothing to do' but watch their movies. He even recreated a popular dialogue from Pushpa in Telugu with the help of hosts Vindhya Vishaka and Nikhil Vijayendra Simha. Sehwag's favorite Telugu hero is Mahesh Babu, and he also enjoys the works of Allu Arjun and Prabhas. He has watched Baahubali multiple times and has appreciated the success of their films. The launch of TPL was attended by several celebrities, including Kapil Dev and Suresh Raina. The Telugu film industry has been thriving in recent years, with films like Pushpa: The Rule and Kalki 2898 AD breaking box office records. Mahesh Babu's latest film, Guntur Kaaram, received mixed reviews but still managed to collect ₹180.5 crore worldwide. He is currently shooting for SS Rajamouli's highly anticipated film, Varanasi, alongside Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Allu Arjun's latest film, Pushpa: The Rule, is one of the highest-grossing Telugu films and Indian cinema. He is now working on a new project with Deepika Padukone. Prabhas, on the other hand, has been in the news for his upcoming films, including Maruthi's The Raja Saab and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit.
